What is Community Radio?
Community radio is defined as having three aspects: non-profit, it is operated under community ownership and control, and it encourages community participation.
Community Radio is radio that is of, by and for the community. It is distinguished from commercial radio by community support, community control, and community programming.
Flint Hills Community Radio – KONZ 90.9 FM – is the result of a diverse group of people coming together to truly build community through radio. KONZ will provide locally-produced public radio serving over 100,000 people.
